Local artists Jack Fran, Mike Sanders, and Sam Brooks collaborated to complete the mural project.
Noarlunga Interchange upgrades are almost complete!
Almost 6 months since my last update for Noarlunga Interchange and we have seen a huge increase in works completion, with the final touches almost complete. Murals have been completed throughout the pedestrian concourse from colonnades to the bus interchange, turning the once dark and gloomy corridor into a gallery featuring iconography from our beautiful local coastal areas.
Three artists undertook the mammoth task of painting the interchange by hand, and have left no nook or cranny un-touched by their artistic talents. This project provides a platform for local artists, Jack Fran, Mike Sanders, and Sam Brooks, to share their work with a broader audience.
Additionally, the murals will create a more engaging and welcoming environment at the Noarlunga Interchange, enhancing the overall experience for everyone who uses the train and busses through the interchange.
Lighting installation works are well underway, and wayfinding installation has just commenced. Both are scheduled for completion by the end of the year. New passenger information and emergency phones have been installed and commissioned, maintaining our prime focus on an improvement in passenger safety.
