Seaford Storm Netball Club finally has somewhere to call home

Through a collaborative effort between the State Government and the City of

Onkaparinga Council, Seaford Storm Netball Club has proudly inaugurated its new $350,000 club room, complete with upgraded facilities aimed at enhancing the experience for its members.

The new amenities include electricity and water, marking a significant improvement from previous setups. What was once a simple three-by-three marquee with trestle tables has now transformed into a purpose-built structure with Colourbond finishes. The club also now boasts an accessible toilet, uniform storage, a meeting room area, a canteen, and an equipment storage area—all designed to take the stress off the volunteers who were previously supporting the club by offering storage facilities in their homes.

Established just seven years ago with only two teams, Seaford Storm has rapidly expanded to 21 teams, exemplifying its pivotal role within the community. This growth reflects a strong community spirit that has become integral to the club’s identity.

Construction of the new facility commenced in January 2024 and was completed in a four-month period. The culmination of this effort was celebrated on May 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and plaque reveal, highlighting the project’s significance within the community.

The success of this project underscores the dedication of volunteers and the support of our community. Their contributions have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, enhancing the club’s capabilities and fostering a sense of unity among members.

With these new facilities, Seaford Storm solidifies its position as the largest club in the Southern Hills Netball Association. As we continue to invest in community-driven projects, we remain committed to enhancing the quality of life for all South Australians.
